(Expensive, modern) Dietary Advice:

INCREASE:

Beetroot and carrots, wheatgerm and whole grains, eggs (not fried) dandelion coffee, herb teas, bananas, apples, pears, Nori, fruits, inc. some tropical fruits, almonds and brazils, yoghurt, sesame and sunflower seeds, nuts, lentils, beans, onion, leek, garlic, spring water.

DECREASE:

Sugar and Honey, Salt and Salted Foods, Chocolate, Coffee, Tea, Cigarettes, Tap Water, Alcohol. Milk, All Milk Products, Beef, Pork, Lamb, Parsley, Parsnips, Celery, Yeast containing foods, Wheat Products, Added Wheat Bran,

Make sure at least half your diet consists of ALALINE forming foods, which are all vegetables, fruits, sprouted seeds, yoghurt, almonds, brazils, buckwheat.

Rest of diet ACID forming foods, grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, eggs, cheese, fish, poultry,

Avoid fatty meats, have more vegetarian sources of protein.

Drink at least half a pint of water a day between meals (2litres?)

Other drinks try diluted fruit drinks, dilute Aqualibra, and herb teas

Avoid regular con-sumption of tea and coffee.

Avoid Fried foods, grill or bake instead. If fry use olive oil. All other oil sunflower, sesame or safflower oil.

 

Avoid the following if stomach irritable:

All fried foods, strong tea and coffee, fizzy drinks, fatty foods, spicy foods, pickles, curry, pepper, mustard, broad beans, brussels sprouts, radishes, cucumber, unripe fruit, very hot or very cold food, coarse bread, nuts, dried fruit, tough meat that can’t easily be chewed. Eat slow, concentrate on eating only. Small amount in mouth at a time, chewing well, taste and enjoy. Cut down tobacco, alcohol minimal. Short rest after eating. Eat regularly. Avoid stress.
